HiruMed® 'C-Quel'
Laboratory Data Management System

Introduction

The ‘C-Quel’ Laboratory Data Management software is a data management tool, specifically designed to combine data from multiple diagnostic instruments into a single (bi-directional) host computer interface. The overall advantage of this architecture is a significant reduction in the overall costs in software and training.

The software may be deployed across a network reducing still further the need for individual instruments interfaces.

If you currently have multiple small devices unconnected to the host, the C-Quel could provide the perfect solution to meet this need.

System Overview

The C-Quel system is designed to run on a standard personal computer (PC) or server, with minimal system requirements of a Pentium processor, 8 MB RAM and 200 MB hard disk capability.

C-Quel can interface up to four devices into a single workstation. Workstations can be cascaded across a network.  The integration with clinical analysers provides a broad assay menu independent of laboratory discipline.  It improves productivity and accuracy by eliminating the need for manual transcription of results, although this method of data entry is fully supported.

C-Quel has been designed to function as both a data hub for laboratory instruments, and a stand alone system for sites that have no LIS capability.

Interfaces to devices from the following sponsors are available:

Abbott

Diagnostica Stago
Beckman
